Zipper fins heatsink is a stack of stamped fins,and these fins are interconnected by locking tabs.
Its material is rools of aluminum or copper sheet, the thickness of the sheet is the thickness of heatsink fins, usually it is 0.3mm or 0.4mm， for special cases the thick can be 0.5mm even 1.0mm.
Zipper fins heatsink is a high efficiency and low cost choice when in mass production, it is usually soldered with vapor chamber, heatpipe or aluminum alloy/copper plates.
A stamping progressive die is needed for zipper fins heatsink when mass production, but we can provide prototypes for performance confirmation by wire cutting technology.
Compare to extruded heatsinks, with the same size zipper fins heatsinks have obivious advantage that it have small weight but more dissapite area. Zipper fins heatsinks also have a shortage that it can not fix or contact to a heat soure, must connect with a plate material first.
