What is a loop heatpipe?Loop heat pipes are created from a specially-designed evaporator and a smooth tube that loops from one end of the evaporator to a compensation chamber that feeds into the other end of the evaporator. The smooth tubing is shaped into the condenser, and the evaporator is connected to the heat source.
How the loop heatpipe works?When heat is applied to the evaporator, the fluid near that location immediately vaporizes, and the porosity of the wick structure in the evaporator creates a capillary pumping head that pushes the vapor fluid into the smooth tube, when the vapor comes into contact with a cooler wall surface, it condenses, and releases its latent heat of vapor, and the lower pressure of the smooth tubing allows the liquid fluid to flow to the evaporator. Due to the special design,the vapor can only go one way, and the recycling of evaporating and condensing form a pumping action to move the heat from heat source to cool areas of the pipe.

such as aerospace, micro-gravity and zero-gravity environments, and electronics cooling.
