For some sample requirements, due to the small quantity, usually it is directly produced by CNC machining. CNC machining is also a necessary step in the post process of the skived heatsinks and aluminum extruded heatsinks.
CNC machining is to program according to the model first, then install the material which was appointed base on the drawing on the CNC machine, and then the control system sends out instructions to make the cutter move in accordance with the requirements and process the shape required by the drawing.
The most common material is aluminum alloy and copper for CNC machining heatsinks, but other materila like stainless steel, magnesium alloy can also be fabricated by CNC machine as needed.
