Design difficulty:High power, small heatsink, two heat souce at front and back, low speed and noise fan;
The original heatsink of customer's design is a aluminum extruded heatsink, stick heatpipe with glue at the bottom of heatsink plate which contact to the heat source. Customer turns to us for help because the heatsink can not slove the thermal management demand, the temperature is too high.
Base on the information, we give out three solutions with different performance and price:
1. Stick standard vapor chamber instead of heatpipe;
2. Solder a heat column with zipper fins;
3. Solder a 3D vapor chamber with zipper fins;
After finshing prototype of standard vapor chamber and 3D vapor chamber in 3 weeks later,
coustomer made actual testing, and finally dicided to use the 3D vapor chamber solution.
Base on the test data shared by customer,the thermal resistance of 3D vapor chamber heatsink reduced by 30% compare to the original heatsink. When the LED light work at its full power, the temprerate rises not over 40℃ compare to ambient temperature, costomer was very satified with the result.
